English: Tichnor Brothers Inc. from Boston, USA. These are color postcards with a linen texture assigned a blanket date of "ca. 1930-1945", but, in fact, the subjects of some cards are as recent as the late 1950s. The date field in these can be corrected using the {{Other date}} template, for example: {{other date|after|1955}} The Tichnor Brothers published some postcards in the more ordinary divided back style as early as the late 1910s.

The complete collection of 25,000 office proofs is held by the Boston Public Library, which publishes many of them at Digital Commonwealth. There is also a Flickr set, but be aware that using the commons Flickr tools will make a mess of the Author, Date, and Permission fields in the Information template (and the files are not full resolution).

Thomas Blake, Digital Projects Manager, Boston Public Library has confirmed that they were published without a copyright notice, and are therefore public domain in the USA ({{PD-US-no notice}}).
